‘Coronation Street Before Television’ 

With a rich spoken and written tradition, Jersey’s ancient native language, Jèrriais, is a fixture at the Jersey Festival of Words.

Two of its most passionate champions are linguists Geraint Jennings and Tony Scott Warren, who this year will be recalling the popular Jèrriais newspaper serials of the 19th and 20th centuries that were the soap operas of their day.
